Lucifer "Lucifer V"

Written by Sage C

Berlin's own occult doom/heavy metal band Lucifer dropped their fourth album “Lucifer V” Jan 25th. Over 200 European shows, with festivals such as Kiss Kruise, Psycho Las Vegas, Hellfest, and Wacken with two being recorded for ROCKPLAST, a German National tv program.

Take a walk with me through hell as we dive into some highlights of “Lucifer V”.

“Fallen Angel”. From the point of view from the Son of Morning, Lucifer. No longer wanted to be under a power of someone else, an equal. Electrifying riffs, solos.

“Maculate Heart”. Besides its biblical themes, this is quite motivational. We all go through our “locust storms”, and we have the strength to get through them. Very 70s influenced.

“At the Mortuary”. Opening with the funeral tolls and slow, impending doom of guitars as you see someone you’ve known has gone to the other side. “The Dead Don’t Speak”, deals with processing grief.

Favorite tracks: Fallen Angel, Nothing Left To Loose But My Life

Influences and For Fans Of: Black Sabbath, Blue Öyster Cult, Pentagram, 70s hard rock, proto heavy metal, doom metal, WASP, Judas Priest

Fun fact: LUCIFER has been nominated twice for a Swedish GRAMMY in the category 'Best Hardrock/Metal Album' as well as the Swedish Radio Award P3 and several GAFFA nominations.
